Google Panda and Penguin both underwent major changes with Google. The new updates implemented Google Panda included penalizing certain websites for duplicate content. Google Penguin introduced a new method to analyze sites and determine their relevance to a search query. These steps resulted to creating two new algorithm variations, known as Google Panda and Google Penguin.

Google Algorithm updates have had major impacts on the field of online marketing. Google banned the use of some key phrases in order to make the algorithm more accurate and useful for user experience. Google also added a new feature in Google Penguin to allow websites that have high Google page ranks to be banned from showing Google AdSense ads on their websites. The Google Penguin updates indirectly affected website owners who relied on high quality content for their business.

Google Algorithm Penguin made a drastic change to the way websites are ranked.
